SmeeGee’s Cakes & Treats started as my love language. As a kid, I made mini cakes in my Easy-Bake oven for my mom just to see her smile. My mom was also the queen of thoughtful surprises - the kind of person who gave the best gifts because she truly paid attention. That same energy followed me into adulthood. SmeeGee’s Cakes & Treats was born from a passion for sharing love through sweet, nostalgic moments. What began as mini cakes for my mom with an Easy-Bake Oven has blossomed into a beloved Detroit dessert brand known for its warmth, personalization, and high-quality flavors.
I’m Chef Gege, and every cake, cookie, or treat I create evokes cherished memories and brings together communities of celebration.

This is where the “core memory cake” gets created. In this Nostalgic Cake Consultation, we sit down 1:1 and bring your vision to life using memories, culture, and personality as the blueprint. We’ll discuss the occasion, the guest of honor’s favorites (cartoons, music, eras, inside jokes), color palette, photos, and flavor direction. I’ll guide you on serving size, design elements, and what’s realistic for your budget and timeline, so your cake feels intentional and unforgettable. Consultation fee is credited toward your order when you book. To reserve a date, we require a 50% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking.

Edible Photo Tribute Cakes are custom celebration cakes designed to honor a person, a memory, or a milestone in a way that feels personal. Each cake features a custom edible photo collage (baby photos, loved ones, or meaningful moments) and a clean 2-3 color design to match your theme. Perfect for birthdays, graduations, memorials, and “just because” surprises when you want the dessert to say, “I see you, I know you, and I pay attention.”

3D Nostalgia Movie Tribute Cake
If you love nostalgia and tiny details, this is your cake. My carved 3D movie cakes are designed to stop people in their tracks - like “wait… is that from the movie?!” This Christmas stocking cake was inspired by The Santa Clause and includes Santa in the chimney, reindeer touches, the Santa Clause contract card and don't forget the famous Judy's Hot Cocoa Mug. "Not Too Hot, Extra Chocolate, Shaken Not Stirred!" Every piece is intentional, detailed, and made to feel like a childhood memory brought to life.
